ABOUT
Established formally in 2021, Villanova is proud to offer one of the only Sports Law concentrations in the country. This team of elite Sports Law students is hand-selected each spring by Professor Brandt. ​
ABOUT THE CONCENTRATION
Before graduation, students will complete:
-
Required coursework (must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in required courses)
-
Sports law-related directed research paper
-
Work on the annual Brandt Report
-
Assist with the annual Moorad Sports Law Symposium (alongside Sports Law Journal members)
-
Meets regularly with Professor Brandt and assists with various research projects throughout the year
-
Special designation at graduation for completing the Sports Law curriculum
HOW TO JOIN SLC
Generally, between 4 to 8 students are selected to join the Sports Law Concentration per graduating class.

The applications for the Concentration open in the Spring semester and are available to 1L and 2L students.
An information session about the Sports Law Concentration will be held prior to the application process opening. Please keep an eye on your Villanova Law email for the session details.
